BIO
Maya Harrison is a New York City based guitarist and singer songwriter with 8+ years experience in the music industry. Her guitar focused, introspective songwriting explores ideas of loneliness, alienation, and life purpose. Maya’s recent work embodies the indie and folk genres, but she also takes influence from jazz, country and rock. Her single “Behind You” is out now on all streaming platforms, and more music is on the way. Maya is also the lead guitarist for singer songwriter Sophia Rogers and plays with various other local bands. In addition to her career as a musician, Maya is adept in graphic design, digital marketing, social media management, and event coordination. She is a recent NYU grad with a BM in Jazz Studies and minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, & Technology.
