BIO
A Musical Journey
Maya Harrison is a New York City based guitarist and singer songwriter with 7+ years experience in the music industry. Her guitar focused, introspective songwriting explores ideas of loneliness, alienation, and life purpose. Maya’s recent work embodies the indie and folk genres, but she also takes influence from jazz, country and rock. Her single “Behind You” is out now on all streaming platforms, and more music is on the way. Maya is also the lead guitarist for singer songwriter Sophia Rogers and plays with various other local bands. In addition to her career as a musician, Maya works in the music business and is adept in digital marketing, social media management, event coordination, and graphic design. She is a recent NYU Grad with a BM in Jazz Studies and minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, & Technology.

Maya specializes in marketing and social media management in the music business. She obtained a Business of Entertainment, Media & Technology minor from NYU and has completed multiple music business internships. She also demonstrates a strong proficiency in graphic design, using tools like Adobe Illustrator to create visually compelling content that boosts engagement and marketing effectiveness.
